Prepping & Scheduling
Planning out your time is important to spend time effectively, do things you want, not feel overwhelmed, etc.
There’s a lot to pick from- panels, the expo hall, meetups, Autographs/Photo ops, Shopping
Prioritize goals/doing what you’d be most sad if you didn’t get to do. Look at panel schedules & meetups & other opportunities. Write down what your interested in doing & when it is. Then put stuff into a calendar bolding things you want to prioritize.
Extra tips
-
Give yourself backup options
-
Don’t overbook yourself, give yourself time to rest
It’s also helpful to take into account location. Example- maybe you can do things back to back if they are close.
These factors are important to take into account for potential schedule changes / understanding the necessity of flexibility

Wait Times
Sometimes waiting for something will take longer than expected so you should have back up plans if you can’t make something you were going to do next or even if something is taking too long and you’d rather spend your time doing something else

Popularity of a panel
Sometimes panels fill up before you get in. Having a back up plan especially something fun will help you find something else to do that brings you joy to help make up for being sad about not getting in the panel.

Timing changing
Celebrities, Creators, etc. are human beings too. Thus things can come up and plans on when things are going to happen can change.
Here are example schedule docs I made for past conventions~ panels with backup options & then color coded based on the stages they were taking place at.

Its important to look up guidelines of the convention you’re attending
